Our Cause

The purpose of the Elsa’s Touch collaboration program is ultimately to find a cure for Glioblastoma. Both Elsa’s Touch and Cure Glioblastoma share a common goal of finding solutions to this horrible disease. Through the Elsa’s Touch scholarships, Cure Glioblastoma and the Jatwani family hope to further education and awareness about Glioblastoma’s in order to accelerate advancements and knowledge in the field of Neuro-oncology.

Our Team

The Jatwani Boys: Dylan, Colin, and Vinay Jatwani are extremely excited for the launch of Elsa’s Touch because of the ability to honor and memorialize Elsa Jatwani while also helping to advance the research about Glioblastoma. The Jatwani boys look forward to gathering with friends and family to celebrate the launch of this program, as well as meeting the first group of Elsa’s Touch Scholarship recipients.

Shawn Carbonell, MD, PhD: Cofounder and President of 501(c)(3) nonprofit startup, Cure Glioblastoma, Inventor of glioblastoma drug candidate, OS2966, Cofounder of clinical stage biotech, Oncosynergy, and Science influencer. Frustrated by poor outcomes and the lack of clinical progress in glioblastoma/malignant brain cancer therapy, he left his neurosurgical training, and subsequently his own biotech company OncoSynergy, in order to scale his impact on glioblastoma and other unmet medical needs. Dr. Carbonell has tackled everything from traumatic brain injury (TBI) to multiple types of cancer to Ebola virus disease and COVID-19.
